I’m a backend-focused software engineer with experience building distributed systems and cloud-native services. I enjoy working close to real production systems and care deeply about reliability, performance, and clear system design.
My core experience is in Go-based backend development using gRPC, PostgreSQL, Docker, and messaging systems like NATS and RabbitMQ. I’ve worked on authentication flows, asynchronous processing, observability, and performance optimization in production environments.
Work Experience
Contributing to backend systems deployed on AWS, implementing user-facing features and working within existing ECS-based deployments, IAM configurations, and CloudWatch-based monitoring.
At HipBar (a consumer payments startup), I took ownership of several production-critical backend systems. I led the design and development of a new in-house promotion engine that replaced a costly third-party dependency, reducing revenue expenditure by 72%. I migrated major Python-based services to Go, boosted authentication performance using Redis caching, and designed distributed worker systems using NATS and RabbitMQ to process platform events reliably at scale. I strengthened system reliability by adding meaningful test coverage and enhancing observability with Jaeger, OpenTracing, and Sentry. This role gave me hands-on experience owning backend components, improving system performance, and working with real production traffic in a fast-paced startup environment.
